Cohen won the 2020 Director’s Guild of America Award for his directing on Encore! for Disney+, a Critics Choice-nominated documentary series he also created and executive produces alongside Kristen Bell & Will Gluck. The series sees Kristen Bell guiding former classmates as they are given an opportunity to re-stage the high school musicals of their youth, years after they originally performed it. LA Times called it “A joy to watch” and “One of the best TV shows of 2019.”
